Welcome to Karuna
Karuna is a Brisbane-based charity that has been established since 1992. The organisation strives to bring comfort, support, care and peace of mind to those who are dying, as well as their carers and families. We provide free nursing, counselling, spiritual care, grief and loss support and equipment loans to over 500 people a year.
We have a commitment to the holistic care of the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our clients, carers and loved ones. Our experienced staff understand that many of us find death, illness and loss very stressful and challenging. Some of the concerns we may face include a fear of dying, separation from loved ones, the strain of caring and financial pressures. Karuna is here to make the journey easier so that people can understand, prepare for and face the end of life with calm and acceptance.
