Due to the nature of their work, nurses, health and aged care staff can experience and be impacted by workplace grief and loss.
Karuna’s Managing Workplace Grief and Loss program has been developed in conjunction with input from nurses, health and aged care staff.
The program is being delivered via a mixed mode with content being delivered both online as well as a three-hour face-to-face program.
The learning outcomes for the program are:
- Greater awareness of latest grief and loss theory
- Understanding workplace grief and loss
- Understanding the impact of workplace grief and loss
- Understanding the relationship between grief/loss, burnout and mental health conditions
- Effective strategies/interventions:
- At the individual level – includes wellbeing/resilience strategies
- At the team level
- At the management level
If you are interested in booking a session at your workplace, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss costs, availability etc. Sessions can also be delivered intrastate and interstate, additional travel and accommodation costs apply.
Public sessions where nurses, health and aged care staff from a variety of services/organisations can attend one central location will shortly be scheduled in the following areas:
– Gold Coast
– Red Hill, Brisbane
– South Brisbane
– Sunshine Coast

The cost of attending a public session is $99 pp including GST.
